Robert P. Longabaugh Field

Robert P. Longabaugh Field

Robert P. Longabaugh Field was opened in 2006 and serves as the men and women's soccer game field. The playing surface is natural grass and the facility is equipped with covered team benches and scorer's table, concessions and restroom facilities. Bleacher seating is available (left) as well as lots of open areas that are suitable for lawn chairs on top of the hill on the south end of the facility.

The facility was made possible through the generous contributions of Jewell Longabaugh in memory of her late husband Robert P. Longabaugh who "loved life an loved Mississippi College". Mr. Longabaugh was the father of Head Coach Darryl Longabaugh, the only coach in the history of the women's soccer program.

Beginning at the end of 2010, construction was started on the Robert G.W. Girling III Field House. The facility is one of the top soccer facilities in the country with a locker room for the men's and women's teams. The building also has three coaches offices, a media room, laundry facilities, and an athletic training room. The fieldhouse was made possible by the generous donations of the Girling family and other friends and family of the Choctaw programs.
